Paul Winslow, of East Hanover, founded Students 2 Science, which brings together the public and private sectors to change the life trajectory of students from underserved communities through STEM education with real-world applications and real-world solutions. Students2Science (S2S) mission is to inspire, motivate, and educate elementary, middle and high school students in economically disadvantaged communities to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM subjects) and foster a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce. S2S offers hands-on, interactive, and career-oriented STEM learning experiences, both in-lab and virtual, for elementary through high school students. The goal is to spark a life-long passion for STEM and introduce them to college and career pathways. Scientists staff and professional volunteers mentor the next generation of STEM innovators and give them access to life-changing opportunities. Since its inception 11 years ago, S2S has served over 120,000 students across the state of New Jersey and beyond.
