Carol is a domestic violence survivor who saw how the system was flawed when her young daughter was required to have unsupervised visits with her father. In 2014, Carol took over the agency and expanded Safe Harbor’s programs by providing free access to food, diapers, essential needs and free programs to children, teens, adults and families in an effort to assist them in their journey of healing and building resilience Safe Harbor Child Access Centers is a trauma-informed, inclusive, child-friendly, and supportive space to host supervised visitations and social engagement opportunities for families experiencing separation and divorce. Safe Harbor strives to foster emotional healing, experience positive socialization in a safe space, and eliminate barriers to basic needs to the Hunterdon County community.
