Shenee and Seigha Omuso of Burlington are the founders of The Opportunity League, an organization focused on empowerment through sports, education and entrepreneurship for children and adults. They have recently launched the Villages Community Marketplace to create a grocery store/market with healthy foods in an underserved community. Programs focus on goals by age groups:
Elementary school -develop strong character and critical thinking skills
Middle school – well-adjusted socio-emotionally and begin to explore their passions
High school – challenged to be independent thinkers
College students – afforded real-world experience
Adults – receive the necessary support to advance in their personal and professional lives.
