Phil Stafford, Wallington, is founder of N.J. Food and Clothing Rescue. Grit and heart have fueled Phil’s volunteer efforts before and during COVID-19 to secure and redistribute food to vulnerable individuals at risk of falling through the cracks. Phil started N.J. Food & Clothing Rescue to help the most vulnerable, including homeless people, seniors, veterans, families in crisis, and groups that are often food-insecure, especially those that are falling into the cracks. Phil and his network of volunteers, spread out all over northern NJ, secure food in many ways and redistribute it rapidly to those in need. He is working to establish an interconnected network of people and organizations across NJ to help people in need as well as offer info about organizations working together to donate items that will go to people in real need.
