Larry, of Englewood, laughingly refers to himself as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation “Poster Boy.” His involvement with the annual JDF’s walk to cure diabetes began eight years ago when he headed up Lipton’s, his employer, network to participate in this event. Through his efforts, Lipton has raised almost $400,000. Larry has fought a life-long battle with diabetes that has included losing his kidneys, under going two kidney transplants and losing his eye sight. Larry’s message is to find a cure for diabetes so that the children who have this disease no longer have to suffer the complications that he has suffered.
