Dr. Frank Light, of Clark, when Dr. Light retired as Chair of Anesthesiology at Rahway Hospital Medical Staff President Vice Chairman of the Hospital Foundation and Chairman of the Bio Ethics Committee and became a “Patron Saint.” That is what he has been called for his work with the middle Atlantic Chapter of Healing the Children New Jersey (HTCNJ), a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1981 with the vision to create a world where every child has access to quality medical care. Since its inception, HTCNJ has provided care to more than 37,000 children, helping nearly 1,000 children each year. Headquartered in Passaic County, NJ – HTCNJ is highly efficient, allocating 91% of all funds to programs and services. HTC assembles plastic, orthopedic, dental, surgical teams and specialists of all sorts to help those people in great need. When in local medical facilities are unable to care for the children, HTC brings those children to NJ. He and his wife, Cathy, have cared for many of the children in their own home.

HTCNJ is led by a volunteer Board of Trustees along with a small staff of administrators whose charge is to fulfill the mission.
