Russ Berrie making a Difference Award Multiplying Good

Expanding Our Honorees’ Impact With Multiplying Good

The Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award (MADA) has partnered with Multiplying Good, a program that recognizes outstanding community leaders. Founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senator Robert Taft Jr., and Sam Beard, the organization’s mission is to elevate the individuals throughout the United States who are the nation’s unsung heroes and exponentially increase their acts of service. The announcement about the partnership was made at the 28th Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award Ceremony in May.

Multiplying Good’s annual Jefferson Award is the highest and most prestigious honor recognizing extraordinary public service nationwide. Over the years, many of our MADA honorees have also received the Jefferson Award for their selfless work to improve communities throughout New Jersey. This partnership enables our honorees to connect with Multiplying Good’s national network of leaders and access training and educational opportunities to help them enhance their impact as NJ changemakers.

“We see enormous potential in bringing these two communities together to connect and learn,” said Russell Berrie Foundation CEO Dr. Idana Goldberg. “We’re thrilled to enter into this collaboration with Multiplying Good and anticipate that its expansive resources and educational opportunities will position MADA honorees to bring the impact of their work to new heights.”
