Hace seis a\u00f1os, cuando le diagnosticaron c\u00e1ncer por primera vez, Seth Grumet, de Marlboro, se dio cuenta de que muchos de sus compa\u00f1eros pacientes luchaban con algo m\u00e1s que la enfermedad: no ten\u00edan una red de apoyo ni los medios financieros para hacer frente a las dificultades que trae consigo el c\u00e1ncer. Mientras se somet\u00eda a un tratamiento para su propio linfoma de Hodgkin, Seth fund\u00f3 STOMP the Monster, una organizaci\u00f3n ben\u00e9fica que brinda apoyo financiero y de otro tipo a pacientes con c\u00e1ncer, sus familias y cuidadores cuando m\u00e1s lo necesitan: durante su lucha contra la enfermedad. Desde 2010, STOMP ha ayudado a m\u00e1s de 2000 familias en el \u00e1rea de Marlboro, distribuyendo m\u00e1s de 1 mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares en tarjetas de regalo para comestibles y gasolina, pagos de facturas de servicios p\u00fablicos, alquiler, cuidado infantil y tel\u00e9fonos, e incluso pago de copagos de farmacia y seguros. Los voluntarios de STOMP The Monster entregan comidas y brindan asistencia a los pacientes que buscan servicios sociales. Seth se ha hecho cargo personalmente de la causa, visti\u00e9ndose de Pap\u00e1 Noel para entregar los regalos en Navidad y quitando la nieve de las entradas de las casas de familias que no tendr\u00edan medios para pagarlo por s\u00ed mismas.
