Terry began volunteering at the Rustin Center in 2023 after coming out of an abusive relationship. He serves as a mentor and encourager, navigatinng the intersectional and inclusive space of being a Queer African-American man, seeking to create a safe & meaningful environment for youth, families and elders both at the Rustin Center and in the larger community.
