In 2022, after years of profound physical pain, Alice was diagnosed with a rare form stage 4 endometriosis that affected every organ in her abdominal cavity, requiring a 9 hour surgery. She launched the Lemonaid Foundation to support and advocate for African-American women, who face worse clinical and surgical outcomes and prolonged suffering from the disease. Her advocacy for womens’ health equity challenges the racial disparities in reproductive health care. additionally, Alice has been a longtime supporter of Nassan’s Place, led by 2024 Honoree Nadine Wright-Arbubakrr.
