Nominated by 2012 honoree Eric Fuchs-Stengel, Violet Reed has helped expand the Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization (MEVO), an environmental nonprofit focused on sustainability, conservation, and youth-led volunteer initiatives in northern New Jersey. Under her leadership, MEVO launched Bergen County’s first farm-to-school program.
